Avoid at all cost, I agree with previous reviews, they want you to come in multiple times, to keep charging you. They do not care about the hurt animal before them. It's sad and infuriating the lack of compassion they showed.

Although they seem to treat my mother and stepfather's animals pretty well, my nor my father have had very good experiences with kroner. Dad took his old rottweiler in along time ago for a shot and for some reason had to have him muzzled while my Pit Bull I had to take in there did not and was misdiagnosed for a tumor they said was most likely an infected hair.

They really do not care about your animal. My cat came home limping. Took him in, even though I said he won't walk on his rear leg, they took X ray of his shoulder, said it's likely just a hurt shoulder. Charged me $170, gave me 3 pain pills and said he will be fine. Fast forward 3 weeks, still isn't walking, puss started coming out his rear leg. Called them up, asked for something for his leg, "we will need to examine him again next week", when I said that's unacceptable, "you are more than welcome to take him elsewhere".

We took our two new kittens here for their new kitty appointments and the entire staff was helpful and timely. One kitty had a little problem and Dr. Rutter did such a good job that it's only been one day and she is already doing better. We've gone here before with previous pets and they've been consistently good.

While Kroner does an adequate job at handling animals, I have had to return to them on multiple occasions for my cats bladder and worm infections. On both occasions, for both cats, it took multiple trips in order to adequately care for them. After taking them to another vet, they have not had another problem. While this might not be reflective of their quality, I had to drop $40-80 a visit and both cats needed multiple visits in order to help them. It felt less like a group of people who genuinely wanted to help animals and more like they wanted to make sure they got your animals to come back a second time so they could charge you an extra $80 for more antibiotics. The sad thing is that this is still one of the best places in Athens and that should tell you something about the quality of the other places around here.

Very friendly and professional, good prices.

Also not very pleased at the fact when I had a Ball Python roughly 10 years ago that he had a respiratory infection in the middle of winter and called Kroner animal care and they said that they work with reptiles and would see my python. So I brought him there in the middle of winter just to take him out of the bag and have DR. Kroner look at him for 2 seconds and tell me that he does not work with snakes. Then why was I told you did over the phone?
