Fast friendly service for fresh baked breads and pastries. Come early because they tend to sell out quickly. They also have delicious panini for lunch, several vegaterian options as well as some cheese and meat sandwiches. There is not much parking in front to the store, but there is a parking lot close by.
I am all for supporting local businesses and fair wages. Both are desperately needed. Therefore I'll be happy to remove this review and give the bakery a 5/5 once the issue has been addressed.
Excellent bread and pastries that can almost rival those found in traditional European bakeries. However, pricing is really steep. $4 for a small chocolate pastry is too high, regardless of the origin and quality of the ingredients; and it takes customers by surprise. The owners should either (1) practice more reasonable pricing, or (2) if lower prices are not possible, post the price of the breads and pastries next to those.

Amazing little Italian bakery in Athens, Ohio. The small olive oil cakes are to die for.
Made a special trip to pick up a couple of cinnamon rolls because it had been several months since I last ate one. Although good, they are nothing like the original version that I was used to. Don't know if it is a different baker or what happened, but I am disappointed. The original version was light and fluffy with a good amount of cinnamon and almonds. The new version is heavier and fruity. Just curious about what happened.
